6 Things To Do When Experiencing Burnout

We are all experiencing this kind of feeling where everything is so overwhelming. There are times that we don’t want to continue anymore. I am also experiencing this kind of feeling, that feeling of being burnout.

Here are some of the things to do when experiencing burnout.

6 Things To Do When Experiencing Burnout

1. Take a break from your work/priorities. When it comes to work, I put all my effort especially when I am in the mood for writing. Lately, I learned that in order to be effective, you just have to relax and take one step at a time. Sometimes we just need even 25 minutes to veg out and take a break. I’ve been practicing this for quite sometime now and it works!

2. Set a little “Me Time”. Give yourself a little pampering because you deserve it. From time to time, I see to it that I have my “Me Time”. This is a way of rewarding yourself from all the hardwork you’ve done. Whether having a meni/pedi, going to the spa, or even applying on face masks to pamper your skin.

3. Learn to say “No”. Learn to say “No” to certain obligations. You have the right to choose what task or job you can do for a day. You can say “No” to extra obligations your boss may say to you. It is not all the time that     you were always there to serve your boss. This may also happen to few circumstances. If you are not in the mood to go out with your friends, say it to them nicely.

4. Get lots of Sleep.  This is very important especially to working professionals. In order to avoid burnout, get a lot of sleep.  7-8 hours is the recommended time but I know not all the time we can make this happen. My tip to you is to atleast take some nap maybe 30 minutes or in my case I sleep for an hour. This way, you will be able to energize yourself and be in the mood to get back to work.

5. Unplug from social media for a while. There are times that we need to move away from social media. It is not necessary that we should have our phones, ipad, tablet and laptop beside us all the time. Even if you can     just unplug awhile at dinner or something like that, do it. It will help you step away from your obligations even if only for 20 minutes.

6. Take a long weekend. Go away from reality by having a vacation. Maybe on a road trip or in the beach, go on a hiking. Be with your family and friends and enjoy the long weekend with some activities.

6 Packing Tips for Savvy Traveller

Summer is on fire right now and I know that some of you are packed with travels for the next few months. Travelling has always been a big part of my life until I got married and got pregnant. But I was not disappointed, in fact I am very excited because I know that I will be able to travel soon together with my family. Eventhough I can’t travel much now, there are some packing tips that I would like to share with you savvy travelers.

As much as I love travelling, packing isn’t always fun. Some of us end up over-packing like crazy! Bringing 5 pairs of shoes? 10 tops? 5 dresses?

When it comes to packing, all you need to do is to relax, avoid over-packing. Plus, you can still be on style when travelling eventhough you only bring few things, just be creative!

6 Packing Tips For Savvy Traveller

Want to be a savvy traveller? Check out my 7 expert packing tips below!

  1. PLAN AHEAD

No idea about your itinerary? Problem solved! Having a good idea of the activities you’re going to is a big plus. If you’re planning to hit the beach or go on a hike, make sure to pack your sneakers shoes and a back pack.  If you’re going to hit the beach, where it’s pretty much always hot, don’t pack your sweaters, or your jeans, instead grab your favorite beach wear, your beach hat and ofcourse your sunblock!

Planning ahead also saves you from over packing. When you don’t have a plan you end up bringing too much. It would make it easier to know the place and where to get to if you plan ahead.

  1. BRING A CARRY ON WHEN YOU CAN

For me, packing only a carry-on is extremely important. The advantage of this is that you don’t need to worry that your bag might lose and checking your bag. This would also save you time. If you’re going for a few weeks this may not be possible, but if you’re traveling for a week or less, try to fit your things into a carry-on!

How To Make Most Of Your Mornings

1. Wake up 15 minutes earlier. I am not a morning person by nature, but I wake up at 7am every morning. I am not using any alarm clock since my body clock already get used to it. Grab my favorite coffee, eat my breakfast and then start my work.

2. Have your own morning routine. Having a morning routine makes you enjoy yourself more. You can eat breakfast before going to work or do some chores or a workout routine to make your day start right.

3. Avoid checking your emails until you get to work. Before, I tend to check my emails after I woke up and that stresses me out. Now, I learned not to do it that’s why I have a more peaceful mind before I start to work.

5 Tips to be Confident Being Yourself

Even the greatest leaders lack self-confidence at certain times. Self-confidence is not a static quality; rather, it’s a mindset that takes effort to maintain when the going gets rough. It must be learned, practiced and mastered just like any other skill. But once you master it, you will be changed for the better.

Start being yourself and step into your true nature by showing people your strengths, flaws, weirdness and real personality; it can open you up to a whole new world.
1.  1. Adapt to Situations – During day to day life, we meet a wide variety and number of people. Friends, colleagues, bosses, and you will probably have your own way of conversing with each one. Keep in mind that the alternative sides of your personality should be embraced. You are not changing yourself, instead adapting and portraying in the most appropriate form. You can be chatty, humorous, excitable and engaged but in varying amounts, depending on the situation, conversation and appropriateness. And as a person, this is a pretty important trait and skill to have. Embrace the fact that you are able to adapt your personality to highlight your best manners and etiquette.
2   2. Act Your Part – Your body language can instantly demonstrate self-assuredness, or it can scream insecurity. Present yourself in a way that says you are ready to master and take command of any situation. If you look confident and act the part you aspire to reach, you’ll not only feel in control but people will have much more confidence in you as well. Look directly at the other person when interacting, maintain a good eye contact and be confident while someone is speaking to you.
