Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream First Impression

I’ve been loving trying out Korean products for quite sometime now. I love how effective their products are especially their skincare line. A lot of positive reviews are in the internet raving for korean brands.

Althea Korea is an online retail store for Korean products and there where I bought my recent favorite BB cream, the Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream.

I love using BB cream instead of foundation in my face because it’s lightweight and very easy to apply. Today, I am going to give my first impression review to this BB cream, the Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream.

Mary Kay Foundation Primer Review

Hi guys! It’s review time! 🙂 I am going to share with you my experience with Mary Kay foundation primer. Yes, this product is way more expensive compared to other drugstore primer brands but it took me like forever to decide whether to purchase this or not. But hey, I bought it, because I’ve been dying to try this out. Please continue reading my review below! 🙂

Product Claims:

This lightweight gel glides on easily to fill in imperfections and dries quickly to a matte finish to create the perfect canvas for a flawless foundation application that enhances foundation benefits and extends wear.
  • Oil-free formula with SPF 15* is mineral-enriched to absorb oil and diffuse light to help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and pores.
  • For all skin types, including sensitive skin.
  • Fragrance-free, dermatologist-tested and non-comedogenic.
  • Can be used with any Mary Kay® foundation.

Packaging:

For me, the packaging is on point. It is in a light peach squeeze tube that is easy to use, has a faint flowery scent that’s fine with me.

My Experience:

I bought this Mary Kay foundation primer for P1390 something ( I’m really not sure with the price 🙂 ). It doesn’t leave my face feeling greasy after applying foundation on top of that. The consistency is like a gel one just like the Fix primer I guess. Once applied on the skin, it feels really smooth and I love that it doesn’t oil up fast much since I have an oily skin. Also, my foundation applies just fine over it and looks pretty nice so I’m satisfied with the overall application.

The foundation primer has SPF15 which protects your skin from harmful rays of the sun, that’s a big plus for me. Upon application, it doesn’t leave any residue on my fingers.  It keeps the foundation lasts all day without smearing, in short everything sticks well.

It is suitable for sensitive skin, fragrance-free, and non-comedogenic (does not clog pores) and dermatologist tested. Perfect for those who don’t want to make pores, wrinkles and fine lines noticeable. The only downside of this product is it’s longetivity. It doesn’t lasts the whole day considering it’s price. My face tends to oil up after four hours of application.

Pros:
  • Nicely packaged making it easy to control amount of product needed.
  • Box printed with expiration date.
  • My skin looked smooth and airbrushed
  • Dries up matte and lightweight.
  • Has SPF15 that protects the skin from UV rays
  • Doesn’t leave any residue on the fingers when applied

Cons:
  • After fours hours of application, my skin started to oil up
  • Need blotting paper to get rid of face excess oil
  • Very pricey
Thank you for reading my blog. Hope it helps! XOXO

NIVEA Essential Care Lip Balm Review

Hi everyone! It’s been a long time since I had a product review. Been very busy for the last days.
Today, I am going to share with you guys my take on Nivea Essential Care lip balm. The weather for the past few weeks was literally changing. There are days where it’s super hot,  other days the atmosphere is so cold especially on mornings. My lips are drying out and flaky because of the weather and because I am working in an air-conditioned place. So, I have to find a product that will reduce and prevent my lips from drying.

Product Claims:

Basic protection for your lips and protects them from moisture loss leaving them soft and smooth. The long-lasting moisturizing formula of NIVEA Essential Care enriched with Jojoba Oil and natural Shea Butter, cares for your lips preventing moisture loss, leaving them soft and smooth.

Olay Total Effects Pore Minimizing CC Cream Review

Hi everyone! I am going to share with you guys my experience with Olay Pore Minimizing CC Cream.  I am a big fan of Olay products and I am fond of testing them. You know I have an oily skin and I really find it hard to find BB creams and CC creams that will match my skin type. I got this Olay Pore Minimizing CC cream 20g in the shade medium.

Product Description:

  • Airbrushes the appearance of pores for a flawless finish
  • Reduced the appearance of pores in 80 percent of women, as assessed by expert graders
  • Multi-tasking moisturizer with CC (Color and Correction) coverage
  • Formulated with 7-in-1 benefits to maintain healthy, younger-looking skin
  • Oil-free, lightweight, and won’t clog pores

Packaging:

The product comes in a handy squeezable tube which is great for travellers.

My Experience:

At first, I really thought this product will give me a medium to full coverage but I’m afraid it doesn’t. It has that creamy consistency and  blends very well on the skin. I have an oily skin so I don’t think I need to put on moisturizer before applying it on my face because it really moisturizes my skin. This dries to a semi matte finish or has sheer coverage . It takes a few minutes to set and does not dry quite easily.

What I love about Olay CC Cream is that it helps brighten up my skin giving it a glow. It also blurs out my pores just a bit of it. You know I have a lot of redness and blemishes.

Just a bit coverage for me so far. Very lightweight and it really smells so good just like the other Olay products. You can also use this as a primer before applying makeup.  It is water-proof and I think this would last for like 5 hours especially when you’re just inside an air-conditioned place. This is great for normal to dry skin.

I bought this product for P499.00 (20g) at Watsons. This is also available in all leading Department Stores and Beauty Counters nationwide.

Pros:

  • brightens up my face
  • UV protection of SPF15
  • non-greasy formula ( oil free)
  • can be used as a primer
  • smells really good

Cons:

  • expensive for P499.00 (20g)
  • does not cover my blemishes and redness

Will I Buy it Again?

Probably No.
